Make sure to read the rules and game mechanics as many questions are answered there.
Q: Is the roleplay style here freeform, stat based etc?
A: It's really free, normally based upon an agreement between the players. Some players use damage calculators and some just go by their own instincts. It depends but it's really free in the sense of rping, meaning you don't have an admin breathing over your back.
Q: When you tell me my reservation lasts until __/__, what timezone are you using?
A: We are using Eastern Standard Time (EST), so if it looks like you're getting less than a week, that's probably due to a timezone difference. Just recalculate with your timezone and that's your deadline.
Q: How do I get pokemon that aren't available to catch in this region?
A: Many Pokemon not found in this region will be in the Adoption Center and available through gifts and events!
Q: What starters can I have?
A: Excluding legendaries, any pokemon may be chosen as a starter.
Q: What moves may my starter have?
A: Starter moves may only go up to level 5. Your starter may not have TMs/Tutor Moves or egg moves. If the move is listed as a "Start" move but can be learned later (e.g. Inferno for Houndoom), it cannot be included.
Q: Do we get anything to start out with?
A: Yes, you get a pokéball pack and a potion pack. Check the Pokémart for more information.
Q: What's the minimum word count for a post?
A: For any post, you must write at least 150 words. If, however, you are rping with another member, it's best to follow the respect system. If you give me 500 words, I should try my hardest to reply with approximately 500 words as well.
Q: What happens if a single post has 1,000 words as compared to a post that has 300 words? How is that calculated?
A: If you write a lengthy post, we are willing to recalculate your post count for you and reward you for longer posts. HOWEVER, you will need to message us in order for this to happen as we will not be going around checking each individual post. Each additional 200 words you write will be considered another post, so if you write an 800 word post, that can count as 4 posts. There is a leeway of 25 words, so if you write a post that is 975 words, it will be considered a 1000 word post.
Leveling Up
Q: What do we have to do if we want to level up?
A: For all pokemon battles, level rewards, wild encounters in which the other pokemon is defeated must be logged in the training log. Be it 1 level, 2 levels, or 3 levels.
Q: How do wild encounters work? Does a mod post or another member? Can I write out wild encounters on my own?
A: Wild pokemon are generated by staff then played by another member.
Q: Would you post a request or something into a specific thread requesting the 'modding' to happen and anyone can jump in on it?
A: Once a few members join, a 'Wild Encounter' thread will be put up. You will indicate your wild encounter by putting a [!] in front of the thread title. From there, any member that wants to play the pokemon will login to the Wild Pokemon account that I will make [which will have no admin power] and from there, they post in the Wild Encounter saying that they are modding said thread then they will post as the pokemon. [all after the wild pokemon has been generated of course]
Q: Are Wild Encounters randomly rolled? Do we get a say in the Pokémon encountered? For example, if my character wanted to encounter a Dratini in Eason Town, what are the odds that I will encounter it, compared to let's say a Poliwag?
A: All encounters are randomly rolled. You may put a preference underneath the post, saying that you want a dratini. From there you have a 1/3 chance to get that pokemon. But if you put no preference, your encounter will be randomized from the Pokémon there.
